The Journey...

The Beginning...

 

I suppose I could talk about my studies at American Academy of Art in Chicago, or my background in Information Technology, or even my passion for movies, music and photography...But my journey started with something far more meaningful and personal...

It started with The Miracle of my son!

After my son was born a micro-premie and weighing a mere 1.04 lbs, the doctors said that he had only a 25% chance to live.   I immediately ran out and purchased my first digital video camera so that I could record every moment that we might have with him.   I also received a new digital still shot camera as a gift.  This was the beginning of the difficult and joyous process of documenting my son’s life in video and photographs.

Our inital struggles began with routine blood transfusions, 2 surgeries, 3 hospital stays and four months of sleepless nights.   The experience not only proved to be the most difficult time in my life, but it also was an event that would inevitably lead me to the formation of DVD Flashbacks!

After a year of filming and snapping photos, I had a serious challenge ahead of me...How could I possibly share over 8 hours of live footage and over 2000 photos with my friends and family who lived far away and were not able to see my son.   So it became my mission to create the perfect short film combining photos, video and music to showcase my son’s life.

Christmas of 05...I immediately began receiving phone calls and e-mails on how impressed everyone was, not only with my son’s progress but also with the DVD they had just watched!  Everyone asked who made the video and how could they get something like it!

And so began the start of DVD Flashbacks Multimedia!

Bryan Adams immediately comes to mind and though it may sound cliche...
- When it comes to my son..."Everything I do, I do it for you!”
